Second edition of a treatise on constitutional government in England originally published in 1649, containing numerous passages concerning biblical and later Jewish history and customs. Pages 106-07 deal with the Diaspora and Jewish messianic beliefs, with a reference to the alleged discovery of Jews in South America by Antonio de Montezinos; pages 118-19 discuss the expulsion of the Jews from England under Edward I and their later readmission, praising Menasseh ben Israel and calling for justice and mercy toward Jews.
